Home Legal expenses is a separate policy underwritten by RAC Insurance, which can be added onto our Home Insurance Buildings and Contents policies.
It covers up to £100,000 of Legal Expenses for any one event to enable the client to pursue the following:
Death, Personal Injury and Medical Negligence
Contract disputes (Up to £20,000 contract value for renovations)
Jury service
Protection of Property
Probate disputes
Employment disputes
Social media defamation
Personal identity fraud
Please note: Legal costs are provided up to a maximum of £100,000 per incident. There is no excess to pay on any section, however, the amount in dispute must be over £100.
This cover excludes business use and does not cover legal costs for proceedings arising from any business, profession, trade or venture for gain.
Cover excludes contract disputes involving a motor vehicle - however, this is covered under our motor legal protection, on our Saga Car Insurance policies.
