Home Legal expenses is a separate policy underwritten by RAC Insurance, which can be added onto our Home Insurance Buildings and Contents policies.
It covers up to £100,000 of Legal Expenses for any one event to enable the client to pursue the following:
Protection of property
Death, Personal Injury and Medical Negligence
Contract disputes (Up to £20,000 contract value for renovations)
Probate disputes
Jury service
Protection of Property
Employment disputes
Social media defamation
Personal identity fraud
Please note: Legal costs are provided up to a maximum of £100,000 per incident. There is no excess to pay on any section, however, the amount in dispute must be more than the cost of pursuing the legal claim.
This cover excludes business use and does not cover legal costs for proceedings arising from any business, profession, trade or venture for gain.
Cover excludes contract disputes involving a motor vehicle – however, this is covered under our Motor Legal Protection, on our Saga Car Insurance policies.
