Sign a document

Sign an eSignature document in Sage HR from your dashboard, documents page, or mobile app.

Sage HR sends a task when a document is ready to sign. You also receive an email notification.

You can open and sign the document from several areas in Sage HR.


Open the document

You can open a document to sign from:

  • Dashboard: Select My tasks, then open the document

  • Your profile: Select Documents, then select Sign document

  • Main menu: Select Documents, then select Sign document


Sign the document

  1. Open the document in signing mode.

  2. Select a highlighted signable field.

  3. Choose how to sign:

    • Draw your signature

    • Upload an image

    • Type your name



  4. Select Sign.

  5. Select Submit, then Close.


After signing

When all recipients sign the document:

  • Sage HR emails the final version to all signatories

  • Sage HR stores the document in Documents

📎NOTE: Sage HR locks the document content during signing to prevent changes.
