Once you’ve set up access to Sage HR, you can log in anytime. You can view your payslips, request time off, and do more. The steps below show you how to access Sage HR on the web.
📎NOTE: There are different steps to log in to the Sage HR mobile app.
Before you can log in
You must have previously created a Sage account for your email address from a welcome email.
If you don’t have a welcome email, or it’s expired, contact your employer and ask them to send it again.
📎NOTE: If you’ve used Sage HR before with another company and the same email address, you'll already have a Sage account. This means you won't need a welcome email to be able to log in.
How to get to your login page
There are two ways to get to your login screen:
Go to sage.hr/signin
Alternatively, log in via your company URL for Sage HR, provided in your welcome email
EXAMPLE: https://smithcoffeeshop.sage.hr/signin.
How to log in
When on your login page, enter your email address. Make sure this email address is correct.
Once you enter this correctly, you’ll see a page like the image below. You’ll see a CONTINUE TO SIGN IN button. You won’t need to enter a password yet.
Click CONTINUE TO SIGN IN.
If you've entered the correct email address, you're redirected to enter your Sage account details. This is what you set up in your welcome email.
Enter your email address and password, then click Log In.
Enter the code sent to your email. If you use 2‑factor authentication, verify your login using:
Sage Verify
Your authenticator app
Code sent by text or call
Once you're logged in, you'll see a page similar to the example below if on a computer:

Is there anything I need to do before I log in?
Before you log in for the first time, activate your access using the welcome email. If you don’t have the email or it’s expired, contact your employer.
I'm having trouble logging in
If you’re having trouble logging in, there can be a few different reasons. For example, you haven't created a Sage account, or your email address is incorrect.

I've forgotten what email address I need to log in with
To log in, use the email address your employer used to set up your Sage HR access. This is the address that received your welcome email.
If you’re not sure which email that is, contact the person who processes your payroll. They can confirm the correct email address for you.
I've forgotten my password
If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it by clicking Forgot password? and following the on-screen prompts.
My sign in page doesn't change
If you log in via sage.hr/signin, after you enter your email address, does your login page stay like shown in the screenshot below?
If the page still shows SIGN ME IN instead of CONTINUE TO SIGN IN, the email address isn’t a recognised Sage account.
