Change your email address

Change the email address you use to sign in to Sage HR, if your settings allow it.

Your email address is the username you use to sign in to Sage HR.

You can change it yourself only when specific conditions apply.

Check if you can change your email address

You can change your email address yourself only if:

  • Your company doesn’t use payroll integration for online payslips

  • Your permissions allow you to edit your email address

📎NOTE: If you can’t edit the email address, an admin must change it for you.


Change your email address yourself

  1. Sign in to the Sage HR web portal.

  2. Select My profile.

  3. Select Employee from the profile menu.

  4. Under Work email, check whether the field is editable.

If the field is editable:

  1. Remove the existing email address.

  2. Enter the new email address.

  3. Scroll down and select Save.

Sage HR sends a confirmation email to your old address. Once you confirm it, Sage HR updates your email.

Use the new email address to sign in from now on.


If the email field is locked

When the Work email field appears greyed out or locked, you can’t change the email address yourself.

Contact your HR or payroll team and ask them to update it for you.
