Even though you can’t turn off the 2‑factor Authentication (2FA) requirement for your Sage account, you can remove the device you currently use.
You do this when:
You want to switch to Sage Verify instead of a third‑party authenticator app
You want to use Sage Verify or an authenticator app instead of text messages
You want to use text messages instead of phone calls
You’re setting up 2FA on a new phone
You need to use a different phone number
You’re resetting 2FA while fixing access issues
The steps to remove your device depend on whether you use an Employee Sage account or a Customer Sage account.
📌TIP: An admin user can confirm which Sage account you use by checking Personal Settings within your Sage HR profile.
You can also check your login screen.
If you see a “Changes to how you log in” banner, you use an Employee Sage account to sign in to Sage HR.
If you don’t see this banner, you use a Customer Sage account to sign in to Sage HR.
