Change your Sage account email address

Change the email address for your Sage account in Sage HR. This updates your login across all Sage products.

Your Sage account lets you access multiple Sage products with one login.

If you change your email address for your Sage account, you’ll use the new email to log in to all Sage products. Your password and 2-factor authentication (2FA) stay the same.

📎NOTE: You don't require needing access to the current email address to be able to change it. You would only need access to the current email address if you've forgotten your password and need to reset it. In such a case, skip to Can't update email address.


Change your email address

  1. Log in with your current email and password.

    📌TIP: If you need to authenticate, but don't have access to your 2FA device, use your recovery key or backup method.

  2. Once logged in, click Email address.

  3. Enter your new email address.

  4. Click Continue.

    📎NOTE: Understand what to do if you get the following error: An account with that email address already exists. Enter a different email address.

  5. Enter the verification code sent to your new email.

    📎NOTE: Understand what to do if you’ve not received an activation or verification email.​

  6. Click Verify email.

The system updates your email after you verify it.


Important information

  • You can’t use an email that already belongs to another Sage account

  • The system updates that email across all Sage products, such as Sage Accounting or Sage Payroll

  • Log in to Sage HR using your company URL after the change
