If you can’t access your authenticator app or phone number when logging into Sage HR, you can use your recovery code. This is the 24-digit code that you're asked to note down and keep safe when you first set up 2FA.

EXAMPLE: VNDS - 79KB - 7JAJ - QNKA - F5F7 - YUPX

Use your recovery code

  1. On the 2FA login screen, when prompted to enter your verification code, click Verify a different way instead.

  2. Select Recovery code.

  3. Enter your recovery code.

  4. Click Continue.

  5. You will see a new recovery code. Note down your new recovery code and keep it somewhere safe. You may need it again if you ever don't have access to your 2FA device.

Can't use your recovery code?

If you've lost your recovery code, or it's not working, if you use a Customer Sage account, use your recovery method to generate a new one.

If you use an Employee Sage account, you will need to contact your employer to reset 2FA for you.

If you don't know whether you use a 'Customer' or 'Employee' Sage account, you can easily tell by how your login screen looks.
