Troubleshooting Cash Drawer Issues

  1. Check Printer Setup: Ensure that the cash drawer option is enabled in the printer settings.

  2. Verify Cable Connection: Make sure the cash drawer cable is securely connected to the correct port on the POS terminal.

  3. Inspect the Cable: Check for any damage or loose connections that may affect the connection.

  4. Review Payment Method Settings: Some payment types may require specific configurations to open the cash drawer. Ensure the correct settings are applied.

  5. Confirm Correct Port: Some POS terminals have multiple ports that look similar. Double-check that the cable is plugged into the correct port for the cash drawer.

  6. Check Drawer ESC/POS Commands: If the drawer does not open, check the cash drawer commands in your POS settings. Some terminals, like iMin and Sunmi, use different commands:

    • Default cash drawer command: 1B,70,00,3C,FF

    • iMin cash drawer command: 10,14,00,00,00

By following these steps, you can resolve most cash drawer issues and ensure smooth operations.
