2. Show You've Done Your Homework

β Highlight what the child CAN do.
β οΈ Acknowledge concerns (e.g., "Emma understands well but gets frustrated when expressing herself.")
β Ask any relevant follow-up questions to show engagement.
3. Share Preliminary Thoughts & Next Steps
π‘ If comfortable, suggest what the issue(s) might be (e.g. "This sounds like an expressive language delay").
π Outline your recommendations on what support is needed (e.g. assessment, therapy etc.)
π§ Explain how often you think therapy sessions will be needed. Will these be face-to-face, online, parent coaching, a blend etc.?
π Explain how things work, relevant assessment methods, therapy formats & session structures as necessary.

4. Secure the Booking!
π Confirm availability (days/times, online or in-person location).
π Schedule in the first session on the call, don't leave it open-ended.
π³ Ideally, send the payment link during the call & confirm receipt to ensure this does not end up in a junk folder.
π Explain that payment secures the appointment and must be made before the session.
π§ 5. Follow-Up
β Send a "nice to meet you" email immediately after the call
β Include session details, payment links, and any next steps.
