Note that you cannot print directly from SampleBoard. First you must download your moodboard to your computer. SampleBoard uses pixels as our standard sizing for your canvas sizes.

A "high resolution" image for printing is almost always 300 DPI (dots per inch) and larger. This is the resolution of most printers.

To determine how to print your image in high resolution (300 dpi), take the inches of your image and multiply both the width and height by 300. That means in order to create a 8 x 8 inch print on a 300 DPI printer, you want 2400 x 2400 pixels.

To save you some time, here’s our recommended standard paper size pixel to print conversion chart:

  • International A4: 2500 x 3500 px

  • International: A3: 3500 x 5000 px

  • US Letter: 2550 x 3300 px

  • US Ledger / Tabloid: 3300 x 5100 px

So, in simple terms: if you plan to print your moodboard to paper in the end, make sure to enter your custom canvas size within the Canvas Settings when creating your moodboard by inputting the correct pixel dimensions as listed above, or by selecting a pre-designed template size to suit at the start of your moodboard creation
