Your Dashboard is SampleBoard’s cloud-based storage system. Everything you work on in SampleBoard is saved to your Dashboard. (See: What is your SampleBoard Dashboard?)

Your Image Library is an image organisation feature included in all SampleBoard membership plans. Your Image Library consist of your customised galleries. This is where all your uploaded or imported images are stored. Once your image files are saved or uploaded to your Dashboard, you can organise them into different folders, called galleries.

In this article we will be deep diving into Image Library management:

  • How to create a gallery folder

  • Finding a folder in your Dashboard

  • Moving an image to a different folder

  • Deleting a folder with all images in it (bulk delete)

  • Deleting a single image from a folder

  • Renaming folders

  • How to upload images to your dashboard

Prior to uploading images from your desktop, you must create a new gallery folder by following these steps:

  • Open your [Image Library] tab within your Dashboard

  • Click the [+] button

  • Type the name of your new gallery in the pop-up. Hit [create gallery]

  • Your folder now appears in the space. You can now upload images from your desktop or move images from another folder into it .

Finding a folder in your Dashboard

You're able to search a folder by name using the search icon next to the [+] button.

Every folder has the following features:

  • View gallery

  • Delete folder (and all the images stored in it)

  • Edit folder name

Moving an image to a different folder

  1. First, select [VIEW GALLERY]. The gallery will open displaying all your images. Hover over the image you wish to move

  2. Click the edit icon and use the drop-down to select the folder you want to move the image to.

Deleting a folder with all images in it (bulk delete)

You can remove images from your folders and delete entire folders at any time.

  • Open your [Image Library] tab

  • Search for your folder by name

  • Hover over the folder info and select the trash bin icon

  • [DELETE] the library folder with all the images in it

Best practice tip:

We recommend creating a folder named 'delete' and moving your images to this folder so that you can save time and delete images in bulk by deleting the entire image folder.

Deleting a single image from a folder

  • Select your [Image Library] tab

  • Open the library folder that the image is saved in

  • Navigate to find the image you want to delete

  • Hover over the image with your mouse and click the trash bin icon that appears on the hover state

  • Make sure to select and tick the red round button and then hit [DELETE]

Renaming folders

You must give all your folders a name when you create them. If you’d like to change the name later:

  1. Hover over the folder you want to rename, then click the pencil icon

  2. Type in the new name and select Update Gallery

New SampleBoard best practice tip:

You can search for your uploaded images within the Creator by gallery name, so be sure to give your gallery name a descriptive name.

How to upload images to your dashboard

Once you've created your library folder, you can upload multiple images.

  • Open your [Image Library] tab

  • Create a folder if you haven't already

  • Select the folder

  • Drag & drop multiple images at a time, or select a single image from your computer

Image file requirements:

Images uploaded to your Dashboard should meet the following requirements:

  • Be a .JPEG or .PNG file type

  • Be under 3mb in size

Once you're ready to create your moodboard, you need to open the app by clicking [GO TO CREATOR]
