How to Save Your Moodboard

Save your moodboard to your Dashboard to view, edit and share

SampleBoard stores your moodboard creations as multi-layered files. That means you can continue to edit the various elements (text and photos) within your moodboards at a later time.


How to save your moodboard to your dashboard

  • Within the Creator, click [SAVE TO DASHBOARD] button in your top toolbar

  • Enter your moodboard name

  • Select an existing project folder OR create a new project folder

  • Hit [CREATE AND SAVE]

  • Your moodboard is now saved within your Dashboard under the Projects tab.


How to view, edit or manage your moodboards

  • You are able to view and edit all your moodboards within project folders by clicking the dropdown arrow next to your profile icon within in the Creator at any time.

By clicking 'My Dashboard', your SampleBoard Dashboard will launch in a new tab.

Each moodboard has the following features by hovering over the moodboard:

1. [EDIT MOODBOARD] button - opens the Creator to edit the moodboard

2. Edit design details (pencil icon)

3. Delete moodboard (trashcan icon)

4. View enlarged moodboard (eye icon)

5. Email moodboard (envelope icon)


1. How to edit a moodboard

  • Open your [Projects] tab within your Dashboard

  • Search and open the project folder

  • Hover over the moodboard thumbnail you wish to edit

  • Click the [EDIT MOODBOARD] button which will launch the Creator to enable editing

Once you've edited your moodboard in the Creator, you have two saving options:

  • Save changes to existing - updated the previous version of your moodboard

  • Save as duplicate - creates a duplicate of your moodboard


2. How to edit moodboard design details

Every moodboard has the following editing features:

  • Move a moodboard to another folder

  • Rename moodboard

  • Set a moodboard public or private

How to move a moodboard to another folder

  • Hover over the moodboard

  • Select the pencil icon will launch the Edit Design Details popup

  • Use the dropdown menu within pop-up to select a different folder. Hit [save]

How to rename moodboard

  • Hover over the moodboard

  • Select the pencil icon will launch the Edit Design Details popup

  • Type in a different name within the pop-up. Hit [save]

How to set a moodboard public or private

  • Open your [Projects] tab

  • Choose and open the project folder

  • Hover over the moodboard you wish to set public or private

  • Select the 'edit' pencil icon which will launch the Edit Design Details popup

  • Use the toggle to change your moodboard to public or private

Anyone with the link can now view this moodboard on your public profile with no sign-in required.

  • Open your Projects tab

  • Choose and open the project folder

  • Hover over the moodboard you wish to share

  • Select the 'view' eye icon which will launch and enlarge your moodboard

  • Click the 'share link' button

  • Copy the link to your moodboard and paste the link wherever you wish to share

Anyone with the link can view this moodboard (no sign-in required)


3. How to delete a moodboard

  • Select Projects tab

  • Open the project folder that the moodboard is saved in

  • Hover your mouse over the board you want to delete

  • Click the bin icon

  • Select the red round button and hit [DELETE]


4. How to view a moodboard (enlarged view)

  • To view an enlarged view of any of your moodboards, open your [Projects] tab in your Dashboard and find your folder.

  • Click [VIEW MOODBOARDS] - all the moodboards within that folder will showcase as thumbnails.

  • Hover over the moodboard thumbnail you wish to view in full and select the 'view' eye icon which will launch and enlarge your moodboard on a separate page.
