In this video we'll go over how to refresh your field event list and get the most current update on individual field events.
Once you log in to the field app, you will see a list of all the field events for which you have been invited to. These events will be listed in chronological order. You will need to have your device connected to the Internet in order for this function to work properly.
If you don't see your event listed, try hitting the circular arrow on the top right hand side of the event list screen. This will refresh your list with the most current data. If you still don't see your project listed, check with your project manager to make sure that you have been invited to that project. Refer to the “inviting new users” video under the project management category for further information.
Once you see your project in the list, tap the gray circular button with the downward pointing arrow, this will prompt the application to go and fetch the most current information regarding that sampling event. This will include all sample location details, required forms, current photographs, and field data and sample collection instructions.
To assure that you've got the most recent version of that sampling event, in case your project manager has made last minute changes, hit the three dot Icon to the far right of that event which pulls up a small screen. At the bottom you'll see a refresh button, simply tap that refresh button, and the most current version of that field event will be downloaded. Once the circular button with the downward pointing arrow turns green your event has been completely downloaded and you are free to use the application for all work activities without requiring Internet connection.
