In this lesson we'll go over how to edit sample location details and update or collect GPS coordinates if needed.

On the Project specific home screen on the mobile app on the left side, click on the specific sample location you which to update. This will bring you to the next page with specific details regarding that sample location.

On this screen there are 3 ways in which you can update various details regarding the sample location.

Towards the bottom of the screen, you will see a box with monitoring well construction information. To edit this information, click the “Edit” button on the top right. A new window will appear. This will allow you to edit well construction information. For instance, if the information indicates your well material is made from galvanized steel but you can tell the well is clearly made from PVC, you can edit the information and click “Save” after editing.

If your sample location does not have a GPS collected or you suspect that is wrong, click the “Grab GPS” button while you have the mobile device directly over the sample location. This will update the sample location. Be careful not to click the button inadvertently, as it will update the sample location and may cause problems with your data mapping.

In some instances, the mapping location on the satellite image is slightly off and you want to update the location on the image to reflect what you see on the ground. In that instance, click on the “Directions” button in the satellite section. This will bring up a full view of the satellite map. On the top right click the “Edit” button and you will be able to drag the icon to the desired position on the satellite map. When you have it where you want it, click “Save” in the upper right-hand corner and it will be saved to that location. Hit the back button at the top left and this will take you back to the sampling screen so that you can resume normal sampling procedures.

That is how you edit sample location details and update or collect GPS coordinates if needed.
