In this lesson we'll go over how to mark a sample location as compromised and unable to be sampled. Once in a while, a sample location or a data point is unable to be completed. Maybe there is a car parked on it, or there is a dumpster over the monitoring well, or the well is damaged and unable to be sampled. Whatever the reason, you can’t sample or collect data from that location.
To mark the location as compromised, click on the sample location on the project home screen which will take you to the sample location detail page. At the bottom of the page, click the “Start Sampling” button. On the bottom left side of sampling screen, is a button that reads “Unable to Sample”. Click the button and a pop-up window will appear. You can then type in the reason why you are not able to sample this location. You can also take a photo to document the condition of the sample location as well. Click the “Save Information” button and this will mark the sample location as compromised with a red icon on the main Project home page on the mobile app.
If later, before you leave the site, the sample location becomes accessible and you are now able to sample, maybe the car that was parked on the well has moved, whatever the reason, you can simply restart the sampling of that location by clicking the sample location and then clicking “Restart Sampling” at the bottom of the page. You can then resume sampling as normal.
That is how you mark a sample location as compromised and unable to be sampled.
