In this lesson we'll go over how to add a new sample location or data collection task with the mobile field app.

On the mobile app main project home screen, scroll down the left side list and click on the “Plus” icon at the bottom.

A new window will open and you then select what type of task you will be adding, either gauging or sampling. You then select the new location from the pre-populated list of unused project sample locations, or you can add a brand-new location by scrolling down to the bottom of that list and clicking on the “Create New Location” button at the bottom. Then type in the new desired location ID. You then select the type of sampling you want to perform and then select the analytical parameters you want to test for. This list is pre-populated from the list from the selected laboratory. Indicate whether you want a duplicate or MS/MSD for the new sample location, and then click “Create New Location” at the bottom of the screen.

The newly created location will appear in the left side list on the project home screen. You can then go through the sampling process as usual.

That is how you add a new sample location or data collection task with the mobile field app.
