In this video, we will show you how to complete the “Digital Chain-of-Custody”and print sample labels using the mobile field app.

The first thing we will want to do, is make sure that you have the proper printer selected. You can check this by clicking on the ellipsis on the top right corner of the home screen. Under settings, you will see a few options for printer selection. If you're using the mobile field printer ZQ520/521, you'll want to select that option, and then hit save at the bottom. If you've preprinted your labels, or plan on handwriting your labels, and you're not using the mobile printer, you will select the “No Printer” option and hit “Save”.

Regardless of the type of sampling you are doing, when you get to the active “Collect Samples button on the lower right corner, you will start the printing option by clicking that button. On the next signature screen, you will simply sign your name as legibly as possible, using either a stylist or your fingertip. If you need to clear the screen and start over, simply hit the “clear” button on the bottom left corner. Once you are satisfied with your signature, hit continue on the bottom right. Next you will take a selfie by centering your face on the page and clicking the button on the center bottom. If you need to clear the screen and retake the selfie, simply hit the retake button on the bottom left corner. Once you are satisfied with your photograph hit the continue button on the bottom right.

This will trigger the printer to print all the labels indicated for this particular sample location. If you have opted to use preprinted labels or are handwriting your labels, the screen will show you the date and time that you should write on your label so that it matches the digital chain-of-custody generated for this sampling event.

And the next screen will show a summary of the labels printed. If needed, you can reprint individual labels by simply hitting the reprint button next to the relevant label, or you can reprint all the labels by clicking the button on the bottom left.

When complete, simply hit the “Done” button and this will take you back to the home screen for your next sample location.
