1. Fast Item Entry
- Barcode / QR scanners – handheld, standing, or built-in camera; any UPC in inventory adds to cart in under a second.
- Predictive search bar – type a few letters; results populate without full spelling.
- “Hide Out-of-Stock” checkbox – on by default for faster queries; uncheck to show zero-inventory SKUs.
2. Cart Controls
- Increase / Decrease quantity – tap the “+” or “–” buttons.
- Direct edit – click the quantity field to type an exact number.
- Delete line – tap the trash-can icon.
3. Discount Tools
Single-item discount
1. Tap the item row.
2. Enter a **Price Override** *or* a **% / $ discount**.
3. Live margin and unit-cost comparisons update as you type.
4. Tap **Reset Price** anytime to revert.
Entire-cart discount
1. Tap the percentage icon in the cart toolbar.
2. Choose *Percent* or *Amount* and enter a value.
3. A discount line appears under each product.
4. Payment Methods
- Card – insert, swipe, or tap; total displays on the credit card terminal.
- Cash – enter the amount received; change is auto-calculated.
- Check – type the check number and amount.
- Split Payment – enter the first partial amount, choose a tender, repeat until the balance is zero.
- Other / Manual-entry card – key in card details if needed.
- Gift Card / Promo Code / Loyalty Points – redeem stored balances, codes, or points.
5. After-Payment Actions
- Start New Sale – clears the cart and resets the screen.
- Print or Email Receipt – auto-print per your checkout preferences or choose manually.
