Creating an invoice at checkout

When you’re working on a larger order for an event, a corporate client, etc. the customer may expect an invoice before submitting a payment.

Use cases

- Provide an itemized quote customers can approve before paying

- Print or email an invoice for A/P departments

- Attach the PDF to a delivery or pickup order



Step-by-step instructions

A. Creating an invoice through the Checkout page.

1. Add the customer to the cart through the Add customer to sale field

2. Ring up items, then tap Checkout.

3. Tap the Print Invoice button.

4. (Optional) Enter a Customer Note (e.g., “Wedding date 5/18”).

5. Tap Continue.

6. In the system print popup:

• Choose a physical printer or select Save as PDF.

• Tap Save/Print (bottom-right).

• If PDF, name the file and click Save again.

7. Email or hand the printed invoice to the customer.


B. Creating an invoice through the sales page.

1. Click SalesHistory.

2. Locate the sale; click the row to open it.

3. Tap the three-line menu (top-right) > Print Invoice in the popup.

4. In the print dialog:

• Select a printer or Save as PDF.

• Tap Print/Save (bottom-right).

5. Email or hand the invoice to the customer.
