Staff Note Button at Checkout

You can add an internal-facing staff note at checkout to orders.

Cases-to-Units Receiving Options

You can choose how Santé handles quantity when switching between cases and units in receiving.

Here are the options:

  • Convert by Units-per-Case (current behavior)

  • 1:1 Conversion (no auto-multiplication)

This makes it easier to receive products that are received in bottles/units instead of cases.

Below is an example of switching receiving from cases to units for an item.

You can change your receiving preference in the settings page under the Invoice Receiving section.

Calculate COGS and Margin via Average Cost (instead of first in, first out)

To-date, we have default calculated margin and average costs using the first in, first out method (FIFO). This means that the cost of your oldest stock is used to calculate these important metrics.

On the settings page, we have provided the option to switch to using Average Cost for calculating COGS and margin. Switching to this method will use the weighted average of all in-stock quantities to calculate COGS and margin.

You can switch to this calculation method by going to the Settings page and checking the "Sell against average cost" box within in the Checkout Preferences section.

Below-Cost Prevention Options

You can now choose which cost basis Santé checks at checkout to prevent below-cost sales. Options: Last Cost, Average Cost, or First-In-First-Out (FIFO).


Disable Product Discounting at Checkout

You can disable the price and discount fields at checkout in role permissions.

Hide Cart Discount Button at Checkout

You can hide the cart discount button at checkout.

Barcode-Only Printing

We now support barcode-only labels.

Export purchase Orders as CSV

You can now export any purchase orders as a CSV file directly from the action menu. It includes product title, distributor item number, product name, cases, units, units per case, costs, and line totals.

Liter Tax

You can now create dollar-amount jurisdiction taxes—per unit or per liter—so that you can comply with specific state rules such as Washington’s $3.7708-per-liter spirits tax.

Check ID Reminder

We've added an optional checkout setting that requires cashiers to confirm they’ve checked a shopper’s ID before completing a sale.

Same-Item Bulk Discount

We’ve added a new way to support same-item quantity thresholds in Automated Promotions, making it easier to run “buy N of the same item for discount X” deals.

For example: buy 6+ Absolut 750 ML for $2.00 off each.

We can also support automated discounts when the customer reaches the case quantity on a purchase.

For example: get case price when you buy 4 of a 6-pack item.

Exclude Customers from Loyalty Programs

In your loyalty program(s), you now have the ability to exclude customer tags.

These customer tags can be set at the customer level, so you can filter for them within your loyalty program(s) to exclude any customers that are assigned with these tags.

Example: You could assign an "Employee" tag to all of employees and mark that as an excluded tag within your loyalty program(s).

Pulling cost from sending store's product on transfers

Previously, we were using the receiving store's unit / case cost on transfers. This was a problem because the receiving store often did not have a cost set yet.

We have updated this to use the cost from the sending store. You can edit this cost amount in the transfers flow if needed.

Cash Drawer Management by Employee

We’ve added the ability to track and manage cash by employee instead of only by drawer.

This gives you more accurate accountability for over/short situations and lets cashiers move between registers (while bringing their drawer with them) during a shift without breaking their cash history.

Key Features

  • Switchable Tracking Mode: Choose to track cash by drawer or by employee in Settings → Cash Drawers.

  • Shift Start Recognition: Cash tracking begins when an employee logs in without an active drawer. Option to start each employee’s drawer with a preset cash amount.

  • One Register at a Time: Employees can only be logged into one register at once to prevent reconciliation issues.

  • Register Switching Safeguards: Clear prompts when logging into another register, including active employee details and options to count the drawer or log out without counting.

  • Cash Counting by Employee: Updated Count Drawer dialog to show employee names instead of drawers.

  • Manager Overrides: Ability for managers to log out or count drawers for employees who forgot to do so.

Cash Cashier Balancing Report

Head to Dashboard >> Reports >> Cash Reconciliation to see our new report that outlines cash activity by cashier.

This report will be useful when trying to identify discrepancies in your day-to-day cash reconciliation.

Note that this report will display all employees that have had cash activity on any specified date at your store.

Tax Jurisdiction Setting

We added a new way to customize your tax rules by category with jurisdiction-level rules:

  • State

  • County

  • City

  • Custom / Other

E-Commerce Delivery Options and Scheduling

You can now offer e-commerce customers a choice between your in-house delivery and third-party delivery services such as DoorDash and Uber Eats.

Customers can also choose their delivery times.

E-Commerce Pick Up Scheduling

Your pick-up schedule is now separated from your delivery schedule.

SEO Meta Data

You can customize your website's meta data to optimize your SEO.

Cash Pickup Receipts

You can now enable automatic receipt printing for cash pick-ups from the Settings page. You can set the number of receipts you'd like to print on every pick up.

Below-Cost Sales Prevention Options at Checkout

Previously, you could only prevent sales below cost based on FIFO (first-in, first-out) costs.

Stores can now choose which unit cost to use when preventing below-cost sales:

  • Latest Cost

  • Average Unit Cost

  • FIFO Cost

Tipping by percentage

You now have an option to default tips by percentages.

You can customize this field by by going to E-Commerce > Checkout > Tips.

Shelf Restocking Page

We’ve started building a shelf restocking tool that lets you walk around the store, scan items that are low in stock on the shelves, and add them to list of products you want to restock.

Group Buttons

You can add a list of items under a button. This makes it easier to access and add popular items to the cart with just a few taps.

For example, you can add your beer cases to avoid going around the counter or carrying the heavy case to scan.

Card Refunds on Checkout

You can initiate a refund to a card by letting customers tap, swipe, or insert their card on the credit card terminal.

First, set your cart to a negative balance by subtracting an item to a negative quantity. Click Checkout > Card > Process Refund

Invoice Receiving Improvements

Improved Products Mapping

You should have seen that many more of your products automatically map. We're continuing to make improvements on the accuracy and automation of receiving.

Edit Invoice Total

You can edit the total read on invoice. This lets you adjust the total price based on breakage, missing items, etc.

Other Improvements

  • Improved recommended products if not auto-mapped

  • Create Product no longer covers up the full screen. This lets you see the invoice while creating the product.

  • Added a clearer warning for when the receiving page is incomplete

Inventory Report By Category

Go to Dashboard > Reports > Inventory. We have added inventory values divided by categories.

eComm Footer Improvements

We added the ability to choose among a map, email sign up, and custom button.

Save Dashboard Filters

You can apply filters to your dashboard and select "Save view as default" to save the filters for the next time you load the page.

For example, if you save a filter for Payment Method = Card and Category = Wine, the filter will stay the same even if you refresh the page.

Improved Item Search Across Santé

Before: Item Name, Quantity, Price

After: Item Name, Quantity, Price, SKU, Size, Stock Quantity

Case Price Button in Checkout

If a product has a case as a secondary item, you will have the option to apply case pricing with a click of a button in Checkout.

Additional Manager Permissions

You can require a manager's PIN input on the following actions:

  • Save a cart

  • Opening saved cart

  • Open drawer

  • Linking a product without UPC on Checkout

Invoice Search Filter

You can find invoices based on invoice number, products, SKU, item number, and total amount.

Automatically Close Cash Drawers

You can set a time in which your cash drawer will close.

You can find this setting under Settings > Cash Drawer Section.

You can count the drawer at a later time by selecting "Count".

For example, many stores have their cashiers take money out for it to be counted by a manager the next morning. This is built for that use case.

Price and unit cost change report

We added a report (under Dashboard > Price changes) that shows items removed and card transactions canceled during checkout, by employee

Product packs

  • When creating a pack, the price, unit cost, etc are automatically calculated based on the pack size

  • We now show margins and markup for each pack

  • You can now print labels for each pack on the product page

Cash drawers

Cash drawer events in the table can now be edited after they are created (also requiring manager permission)

Bottle deposits

  • If you use bottle deposits, you can now set your default bottle deposit by product category (under Products > Taxonomy > click on the button next to the category name)

  • You can now set the bottle deposit for each product and pack during receiving

Manager permissions

For stores that use employee PINs, we added manager permissions:

  • Checkout: keg delivery/deposit discounts, removing taxes

  • Sales: issuing a refund

  • Products: editing the product inventory section (unit cost, stock, etc)

Loyalty programs

  • The loyalty points earned and redeemed now appear on your email and paper receipts

  • We now show “X cents on the dollar” when you create a new loyalty program

  • We fixed a couple of minor bugs related to loyalty points assignment

Other improvements

  • In the receiving, we now prioritize the units per case set on the product page instead of the value detected on the invoice

  • Our quickbooks integration now syncs vendors. When invoices are sent to quickbooks, if your Sante vendor is found in quickbooks, it uses it, otherwise it creates a new vendor in quickbooks

  • We added the ability to print large labels (A4 format) in bulk from the products table

  • We fixed a few bugs related to product tags in the POS and ecom

  • We improved the logic that prevents selling out of stock items on ecom
