Refunds

This guide covers how to process a refund by either issuing a refund from Sales History or running a negative sale from the register.


Step-by-step instructions

A. Refund from Sales History

1. Click Sales in the left menu.

2. In the Sales History table, locate the transaction (use filters or enter the receipt number in the Search field on the top of the page.

3. Select the sale row to open its record.

4. Review details (date, card type, items) to confirm eligibility.

5. Click Menu on the top right of the screen.

6. Choose Refund.

7. On the refund screen, select Full Refund or enter a custom amount.

8. Click Refund (button on the right).

9. In the pop-up, ensure Card is selected (or choose Cash / Other).

10. Click Process Refund.

11. Watch for the confirmation banner at the bottom-left indicating the refund was processed successfully.

B. Refund via negative sale (register)

1. Scan or search for the product that is wanted to be refunded, adding it to the cart.

2. Click negative in the cart to change the product line to a negative amount.

3. Confirm subtotal and total are negative.

4. Click Checkout.

5. Select Cash or Other (e.g., card, store credit) as the refund tender.

6. Complete the refund with process refund.

7. Watch for the confirmation banner at the bottom-left indicating the refund was processed successfully.
