Categorizing Products

Categories drive fast search, filtering, and reporting inside Santé. This guide shows where to manage them.

Use cases

- Cleaner e-commerce menus – build web collections from tags.

- Accurate reporting – sales by style, country, or supplier at month-end.
- Faster search at checkout – scan or type a few letters + tag filter.

Note: During Santé onboarding, much of your taxonomy categories and tags may carry from your older systems to eliminate redundancy.




1. Category settings

  • Products > Taxonomy lists every top-level category.

  • Click the Edit button next to a category to edit properties such as default Bottle Deposit, Surcharge, or Tax Rate.

  • Changes will reflect to every product assigned to that category.

2. Add or edit properties/tags

  • Inside a category you can add properties like Brand, Country, Style, Type for each category.

  • Select a property, then click Add (property name) to create a certain tag for each value that a product could have.

3. Filter products by category & tag

  • Go to Products > Overview.

  • Click Filters (top of screen), choose a Category, then pick one or more Tags.

  • The list shows only products that match

4. Assign tags to a product

  • Open any product record from Products > Overview

  • On larger screens, the Product Tags panel is at the right; on small screens scroll to the bottom of the page.

  • Select the relevant category fields and choose tags.

  • (Optional) click Generate with AI to auto-suggest tags and a short description.

  • Tap Save.
