Overview on the Shelf Restock Feature

Build a trackable restock batch, then export it as a clean PDF (or use it directly in-app) to restock shelves faster—across desktop, tablet, or mobile.

Use Cases

  • Create a restock list during inventory walks (scan items as you go).

  • Assign shelf locations and requested quantities so staff can restock quickly.

  • Export a printable PDF for a paper-based restock run.

  • Track which restock batches are still active vs. already completed.

Step-by-step instructions

A. Create a restock batch

  1. In the left navigation bar, click Products.

  2. Under Products, click Shelf Restock.

  3. Click Create a Batch (top right).

  4. Enter:

    • Batch Name

    • Batch Notes

B. Add items to the batch (scan or manual search)

Option 1: Scan items (recommended for speed)

  1. In the batch screen, scan a product using a barcode scanner connected to your device.

  2. The product should appear automatically in the batch on the Shelf Restock page, but the following fields may be blank:

    • Shelf Stock

    • Shelf Location

    • Restock Quantity (Units/Cases)

  3. For each scanned item, fill in those fields (details below).

Option 2: Add items manually (search)

  1. Click Add Items.

  2. Search for the product by name (or other identifier).

  3. Click the product to open its restock fields.

  4. Fill out the fields:

    • Shelf Stock: how many units are currently on the shelf

    • Shelf Location: where the item is located in your store

    • Restock Quantity: requested restock amount in Units or Cases

  5. Click Add Item (bottom of screen).

  6. Confirm you see “Item added successfully.”

  7. Repeat for additional products, or return to the batch list.

Example from the video (units + cases)

  • If there are 0 items on the shelf and you want to add 1 full case with a case being 12 units of a product:

    2. Set Cases to 1

    3. Add a Shelf Location

    4. Click Add Item

C. Export the batch as a PDF (optional)
