Setting Up Your Zebra Label Printer

How to set up your Zebra ZD411 label printer with Santé — confirming the connection, installing Zebra Browser Print, loading your label templates, and running a test print.

Use this guide to set up your Zebra label printer with Santé. It's a one-time setup — once done, you'll print shelf labels and price tags directly from Santé. (If your printer is already set up and just won't print, see Troubleshooting the Zebra Label Printer instead.)

Your Zebra printer prints through a small helper app called Zebra Browser Print — that's the only app you need to install.

Step 1: Download and install Zebra Browser Print

  1. Open the Zebra Browser Print download page.

  2. Choose Windows or Mac OS X to match your register, enter an email, agree, and click Download.

  3. Run the installer — click Next through the prompts, then Install and Finish. Leave Browser Print running.

Step 2: Start setup in Santé

  1. Make sure the printer is plugged in and powered on.

  2. In Santé, go to Hardware > Devices, find your Zebra ZD411, and click Set Up.

Step 3: Connect Browser Print to Santé

  1. Choose Install and run the application.

  2. If a security screen appears, click Advanced and continue to localhost.

  3. Approve any prompts (keep clicking Yes / Allow), then click Retry.

Note: a "Not secure" warning here is normal and safe to continue past — it's how the printer talks to your computer locally.

Step 4: Refresh templates and test print

Refresh your label templates, then run a test print to confirm it's working. If the printer still shows as not connected, reconfigure it from the Hardware page and check that Zebra Browser Print is running.
