Note: All of Satoshi's wallet types are hot wallets, meaning that they are connected to the internet, convenient for frequent transactions. For long-term bitcoin holding, consider using a cold wallet with offline storage.
Flash Wallet

All US users will begin their journey with a Flash wallet on Satoshi.
Non-US users can choose to create a Flash wallet whenever they want in addition to their (custodial) Starter wallet.

How to create a Flash wallet
US Users
Upon creating your Satoshi account, a Starter wallet will automatically be generated for US users.
You can create additional Flash wallets by following the steps below.
Non-US Users
Obtain an Access Code (subject to availability)
Login to your Satoshi account
Tap the wallet dropdown at the top of the Home page
Tap "Create Wallet"
On the wallets page, tap "Create" under the Flash wallet
Backup your 12-word seed phrase
Important: Satoshi does not store your Flash wallet seed phrase. You are responsible for safeguarding it. If lost or compromised, your funds cannot be recovered.
Stash Wallet

The Stash Wallet is available for all users.
What assets can I use with the Stash wallet?
Our Stash wallet is a Layer 1 (on-chain) hot wallet. Simply put, you can send and receive on-chain BTC.
How to create a Stash wallet
Login to your Satoshi account
Tap the wallet dropdown at the top of the Home page
Tap "Create Wallet"
On the wallets page, tap "Create" under the Stash wallet
Backup your 12-word seed phrase
Important: Satoshi does not store your Stash wallet seed phrase. You are responsible for safeguarding it. If lost or compromised, your funds cannot be recovered.
How to import an existing wallet
You can also import an existing self-custodial bitcoin wallet into your Satoshi account if you have your seed phrase.
Login to your Satoshi account
Tap on your Profile icon
Tap "View Wallets"
Tap "Import"
Enter your seed phrase or select your cloud backup.
After doing these steps, you have imported your existing Bitcoin wallet into your Satoshi account.
Exchange Account
Exchange Account on Satoshi
Only US users will be able to create an Exchange Account to unlock buy, sell and cash features at this time.
Note: The Exchange account is accessible to a limited number of US users, and it is currently at full capacity.

The Exchange account is designed for users of all experience levels and is required to buy and sell BTC on Satoshi. If you want the ability to trade BTC and enjoy the best user experience, the Exchange account is ideal.

How to create an Exchange account
Download Satoshi and create your Flash wallet first.
You can tap "Buy", or tap Verify Identity in the Wallets page
Complete your KYC verification
Once approved, you will have your Exchange account
You can then add a payment method and begin buying BTC
