The Customer Engagement add-on lets you manage relationships, send marketing campaigns, and automate interactions with your customers. With it, you can send custom email blasts, upload customer lists, and (coming soon) set up automated campaigns like cart abandonment and re-engagement.
The first step to setup Customer Engagement features on your account will be to subscribe to the Customer Engagement add-on. You can do this by navigating to the Billing page, click the "Change Subscription" button and subscribe to this add-on.

After you confirmed your subscription, our system will take a few minutes to provision the necessary infrastructure for you to start engaging your customers. Once the provision process is complete, you will receive an email notification, and you can start setting up your email addresses and uploading existing customer lists.
When you first subscribe, your Customer Engagement module will be put in development mode. Under this mode, you will be able to send emails to any emails that's associated with your merchant account in order to try out the features. However, in order to send emails to your customers, you will need to follow these steps to connect a domain to your account, so that our system can send email on your behalf.
Acquiring your domain (if you don't have one already)
Register your domain(s) on Saucey Direct Dashboard
Verify the domain by following the instruction on Saucey Direct Dashboard to enter records on your DNS provider.
Acquiring your domain name
If you don’t already have a domain, you’ll need to register one before connecting it to Saucey Direct. We recommend using Cloudflare as it provides domain registration, DNS management, and security features all in one platform.
Go to Cloudflare Registrar – Visit Cloudflare Registrar and search for your desired domain name.
Purchase Your Domain – Select an available domain and complete the registration process.
Access Your DNS Settings – Once registered, navigate to the DNS section in your Cloudflare dashboard.
After acquiring your domain, you can proceed with setting up a custom CNAME record and linking it to Saucey Direct.
Register that domain on Saucey Direct Dashboard
Once you have acquired a domain or if you already have one, you need to link that to your Saucey Direct Account.
On the navigation menu on Saucey Direct Dashboard, look for Settings under the Customer submenu.
Uncheck Development Mode
Enter a domain that you own and control, the click Add. (eg. mybusiness.com)
Change the default from address and default reply-to address to an email within your domain. (eg, hello@mybusiness.com and no-reply@mybusiness.com)
Click Save Changes
Verify your domain
Once you've completed the above steps, you will see records that you will need to submit to your DNS provider. The records to be imported to your DNS provider will be the same regardless of the provider, however, steps and procedures varies from one provider to another. Please follow the instructions found on your DNS provider's documentation to complete this step.
On the navigation menu on Saucey Direct Dashboard, look for Settings under the Customer submenu.
Look for the domain you just entered, and click the Show Instructions button next to it.
Add each record exactly as shown to your DNS provider's management portal.
DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours. During this time, Saucey Direct will keep checking automatically. Once verification succeeds, you’ll get an email notification and can begin sending campaigns to customers.
