Updated over 12 months ago

Congrats! Your storefront is live and to start seeing orders, you will need to have a solid marketing plan.

It will take 2 to 6 weeks of active marketing to get the word out and build momentum with your customer base.

Not sure how to start? Follow these easy steps to make sure you're set up for success.

In-Store Marketing

This is the single most important thing you can do to actively spread the word about your storefront!

  1. Order promo cards & signage to hand to each walk-in customer.

    1. Train staff to talk about your storefront and that you offer delivery.

    2. We recommend starting with promo cards, tabletop signs and window clings.

Email Lists

If you haven't already, collect emails from customers and let them know when your storefront launches. You can also keep them updated about online exclusive specials and deals. Print this template to start collecting emails today.

Yelp & Google Listings

It is critical for stores to update Yelp and Google with the storefront link, setup delivery zips and coverage areas for customer to know you offer delivery.

If you don't have one already, make sure to create or claim your business from the links below:

Once claimed we recommend making the following updates on your business listings:

  1. On both Google & Yelp have the website button lead to your SauceyDirect site

  2. On Google there's also an "Order" option you can add a link to making it easy to see where customers can order

  3. Include "Same-Day Delivery" as a service option on Google and "Offers Delivery" as an amenity on Yelp

  4. Update the "From [Store Name]" section in Google or the "About the Business" section in Yelp to include SEO-friendly keywords like "ASAP Delivery," "Tobacco Delivery," "Alcohol Delivery," etc

  5. We award bonus points if you add an image of your QR delivery flyer we sent over to the photos for both listings!

You also have the option to increase your visibility with other listing sites:

Claim and Update your Apple Maps Listing

Since many people order delivery from their phones and many people have iPhones, we recommend updating your Apple Maps Listing as well

To find and claim your business listing on Apple Maps:

  1. Sign in with your Apple ID (or create one)

  2. Search for your business

    1. If found, select "claim this business"

    2. If not found, please add your business

  3. Follow the directions to verify and enhance your business with additional information, photos, and more. Make sure to include your relevant SauceyDirect website for the store you're claiming.

Social Media pages

List your website on your business's social media pages:

  • Instagram

  • Facebook

  • TikTok

  • etc.

It's also important to post about your new storefront regularly with incentives that you've setup on the Merchant Dashboard.
