This is a Marketing Section — it does not exist in Shopify’s default emails. You control it live: change text, enable or disable per template, no re-export needed. See What are Marketing Sections? for an overview.
Add a discount code to your notification emails. Customers see the code, copy it, and use it on their next order.
Use case
Start a holiday sale: enter the code, choose which templates show it, done. Sale over? Set it to Hidden — gone from all emails instantly.
What you can customize
Heading — e.g. "Your Exclusive Discount"
Description — explain the offer
Discount Code — displayed in a visual code box that customers can copy
Code Box Style — dashed or solid border
Button — optional call-to-action linking to your store
Conditions — fine print (e.g. "Valid for 30 days")
Template control
Click on the Discounts section in the canvas. The status label shows which templates have it active. Click to change the assignment.
