Yes β there are certain types of mail and packages that SavvyNomad is not permitted to receive, store, or forward on your behalf. These restrictions exist to comply with federal and postal regulations, as well as to ensure the safety of our staff and other customers.
π« Items We Cannot Accept
SavvyNomad cannot accept or handle the following categories of mail or packages:
Alcoholic beverages β including wine, beer, and spirits.
Perishable goods β such as food, plants, or anything that requires refrigeration or has a limited shelf life.
Medications or prescription drugs β whether controlled or non-controlled substances, even if legally prescribed.
Hazardous materials β including flammable, explosive, corrosive, or otherwise dangerous substances (examples: aerosols, fireworks, fuel, batteries labeled as βhazmat,β etc.).
Illicit or restricted items β any mail or package prohibited by U.S. law or USPS/UPS/FedEx shipping regulations.
π¦ Why These Restrictions Exist
SavvyNomad operates as a Commercial Mail Receiving Agency (CMRA) registered with the U.S. Postal Service. That means we must follow strict postal and safety guidelines regarding what can and cannot be handled at our facilities. Items like alcohol, medications, or hazardous materials fall under categories that require specialized licenses or storage conditions that CMRA locations are not authorized to maintain.
