You can get your driver's license at your nearest Texas DPS office — for example, the Texas DPS – Aransas Pass, 919 S Commercial St, Aransas Pass, TX 78336, (361) 758-8680 · Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm (use the DPS office locator to find the one closest to you) — and register your car at the Aransas County Tax Assessor-Collector's office. If you don't yet have your Texas driver's license, you can still register your vehicle using an unexpired driver's license from your former state.
