  1. Go to Your LinkedIn Profile

    • Visit linkedin.com and click your profile picture to open your profile page.

  2. Check for the "Add Verification" Option

    • Look for a prompt or button that says “Add verification” or “Get verified.”

  3. Know Your Verification Method Based on Location

    • US, Canada, Mexico: Verification is done via Clear. You’ll need:

      • A valid government-issued ID

      • A personal phone number (business numbers won’t work)

    • India: Verification is done via DigiLocker. You must:

      • Be over 18

      • Set your LinkedIn location to India

      • Use an Indian IP address

      • Have a valid government-issued ID

    • Rest of the world (Asia, Europe, Africa, etc.): Done via Persona. You’ll need:

      • An NFC-enabled passport (ePassport)

  4. Start the Verification

    • Click the verification button → A QR code will appear

    • Open the LinkedIn mobile app, scan the code, and follow the prompts

  5. Complete in 1–2 Minutes

    • The process is quick and typically gets approved instantly.

  6. Why It Matters

    • A verification badge proves you’re human, not a bot

    • It increases trust with recruiters, clients, and prospects
