What This Does
Scalelist MCP uses the Model Context Protocol to connect ChatGPT with your Scalelist account.
Once connected, you can ask ChatGPT to:
Find leads by job title, seniority, company, industry, company size and location
Count how many people match your search, to see the size of your market
Find leads with their emails from any domain or company name (up to 100 per company)
Find emails for a single contact
Find emails in bulk from a list of people
Find mobile numbers for a single contact
Find mobile numbers in bulk from a list of people
Check your credits and your plan
ChatGPT calls Scalelist in the background and returns verified results instantly. Every find costs credits from your Scalelist plan. No result = no charge.

What You Need
A Scalelist account (sign up here)
A ChatGPT account - it works on the free plan too
Setup - 2 Minutes
1. Go to chatgpt.com and log in.
2. Click Plugins in the left sidebar.
3. Click Add at the top right → Add custom MCP server.
4. Fill in:
Name: Scalelist
Connection: keep Server URL selected, then paste
https://mcp.scalelist.com/mcpAuthentication: OAuth (already selected)
5. Scroll down. Tick I understand and want to continue, then click Create as a plugin.
6. Wait a few seconds. A Connect Scalelist window opens. Click Continue to Scalelist.
7. Sign in to your Scalelist account if asked, then click Authorize. You come back to ChatGPT, and Scalelist now shows under Installed.
8. Use it in a conversation. Start a new chat → click + in the message bar → select Scalelist.
9. Confirm it's working. Type: "Check my Scalelist credits"
If ChatGPT returns your balance, you're live.

Tip: ask ChatGPT to count first. You see the size of your market before you build your list.
Troubleshooting
"Create as a plugin is greyed out" → Tick I understand and want to continue first, and check that the URL is exactly https://mcp.scalelist.com/mcp.
"I clicked Authorize but Scalelist is not under Installed" → Go back to Plugins and repeat from Step 3.
"ChatGPT can't search for leads" → Start a new chat and select Scalelist with +. If it still can't, uninstall the plugin and add it again (Steps 2 to 7).
"ChatGPT says the count limit is reached" → You can run a limited number of counts per minute and per day. Wait one minute and try again. If the daily limit is reached, it resets within 24 hours. Paid plans get a higher limit.
"Scalelist is connected but ChatGPT returns nothing" → Check two things: (1) Scalelist is selected with + in this chat. (2) Your credit balance in Scalelist - if you're at zero, results won't come back.
"ChatGPT found fewer leads than I asked for" → ChatGPT never returns more leads than your credits can pay for. Top up your credits and ask again.
"No result for a specific contact" → Try again with the full name and company domain spelled out. No credits are charged for empty results.
"I want to disconnect" → Plugins → Scalelist → ⋯ → Uninstall.
