The tare function allows you to reset the weight on the Nutriscanner while a plate/bowl is already placed on the device. This way, only the weight of the food is registered.
How to do it
Place your plate/bowl on the Nutriscanner.
Press the tare button to reset the weight to 0.
Add the food to the plate/bowl.
Scan the food as normal.
Tips
Remember to press the tare button every time you switch to a different plate/bowl.
If the weight does not reset correctly, try lifting the plate/bowl off the device, waiting a second, placing it back, and pressing tare again.
