Unlocking the full potential of your ballot's preview when sharing it involves adding meta tags. These meta tags play a crucial role, yet they are often overlooked. Follow these step-by-step instructions to ensure your best-of ballot shines when shared.
Start by logging into your Best of account.
Navigate to the ballot you want to enhance with metatext.
Within the ballot overview page, locate and click on "Design" from the left-hand navigation bar.
Within the Design section, click the "General" tab.
Scroll down to the "Meta Tags and Share Info" headline
Fill out the following important fields with relevant information:
Title
Meta Description
The meta description should succinctly describe what you'd like to appear when your link is shared, while the title should reflect your best of competition’s name
Meta OG Image
Meta Twitter Card
Meta Twitter Image Alt
For the image fields (Meta OG Image, Meta Twitter Image), provide the URL of the image you wish to be the preview image.
After filling out the meta tags, scroll down and click "Save."
Once your changes are saved, your ballot is now equipped with enhanced metatext, ready to shine when shared.
