Enhancing Your Best-of Platform and Growing Your Audience with Email Opt-ins

Integrating email opt-ins into your Best Of platform is a strategic approach to expand your audience and gather valuable voter email addresses. Follow these simple steps to seamlessly add opt-in fields to your platform.

  • Sign in to your Best Of platform account

  • Choose the ballot where you want to implement email opt-ins

  • Click on "Design" from the left-hand navigation bar

  • Once the Design page loads, click on the "General" tab

  • Scroll down to find the section titled "Opt-in to Email Lists"

  • Click the "Add Opt-in" button

  • Customizing the Opt-in Field

    • In the text field, provide a name for the opt-in and a brief description of what voters are opting into

    • PLEASE NOTE: Do not include commas in the text field. Commas in the text field result in export file issues so it is a best practice not to add commas in this field.

    • Mark whether the opt-in is required or not

  • Once you've configured the opt-in field to your satisfaction, click "Save."
