When the system detects potential duplicates, a message will appear in light gray, indicating "Potential Duplicates Found."
Reviewing and Managing Duplicates
Access Duplicate Events
Click on the "Potential Duplicates Found" message to view the list of duplicate events. This will show you the details of the duplicates, including the event name, location, and the submitter.
Review Details
Carefully review the information provided to determine if the events are indeed duplicates.
Often, duplicates occur when multiple people from the same organization submit the same event.
Choose Which Event to Keep
Decide which event entry you want to keep. For instance, if you find that two events are identical, choose one to keep and dismiss the others.
Dismiss Duplicate Events
Individual Dismissal
Click the "Dismiss" button next to each duplicate event you wish to remove. This will exclude the event from your calendar.
Bulk Dismissal
Alternatively, you can select multiple duplicate events at once and dismiss them in bulk, streamlining the process.
Return to Calendar:
Once you have dismissed the duplicate events, go back to your main calendar view.
The "Potential Duplicates Found" message should now be gone, indicating that your calendar is free of duplicate entries.
