This guide will walk you through the process of adding events from the SceneThink network and managing them effectively.
Accessing the Available Events
Open the Available Tab:
The "Available" tab contains events submitted to the SceneThink network that are within your selected area.
Events submitted by users in your area will appear here for you to review.
Review Events:
Dismiss Event: Click this button to remove an event from your available list. This action declines the event and it will not appear on your calendar.
Stage Event: Click the inbox icon to move the event to the staging folder. This allows you to review and edit the event before making it live.
Approve Event: Click the green button to approve the event and add it directly to your calendar. This action makes the event live on your calendar immediately.
Staging and Editing Events
Move Events to Staging:
When you stage an event, it moves to the staging folder for further review and editing.
Navigate to the staging folder to manage these events.
Edit Events in Staging:
In the staging folder, you can make various edits to the event:
Add Tags: Enhance searchability and categorization.
Update Categories: Ensure the event appears in the correct category.
Tweak Descriptions: Modify the event description for clarity or additional details.
Add to Collection: Group the event into relevant collections.
After making the necessary edits, choose to either save the event or save and add it to the calendar.
Save and Add to Calendar: This action will finalize the edits and move the event to your live calendar.
Managing Events
Continuing to Review Available Events:
Continue to go through the available events, approving, staging, or dismissing them as needed.
Regularly check the available tab to stay updated with new event submissions.
Filtering Available Events:
If no events appear in your available folder, adjust your filters:
Filter by Location: Zoom out to a broader area to capture more events that might be nearby.
Search Filters: Use specific keywords or categories to find relevant events.
Solicit Event Submissions:
If you still do not find sufficient events, encourage your audience to submit events directly to your calendar.
Promote event submission through your website, social media, and other communication channels.

Populating your calendar with events is crucial for keeping your audience informed and engaged.
