You’ve crafted an amazing Space, Sidekick, or activity—now it’s time to share it with your students!
Space Codes
Space Codes are the easiest and quickest way to get your students into a Space, and the default method if you do not have an LMS integration connected, such as Google Classroom.
On the right side of the Space dashboard, click the Invite button
Select Use a Space Code, which will generate a link to a securely-hosted Space
Share this link with your students in any way you'd like
Students who join an activity using a Space Code will be prompted to type their name. If you need to validate the student's name, consider using an LMS integration.
Google Classroom/Canvas
Once you've launched your Space, you'll be shown the "Invite Your Students" screen automatically. If you need to add students later, follow these steps:
On the right side of the Space dashboard, click the Invite button
Choose the LMS Integration that your school has set up
Select your Class from the dropdown list, and add details about the assignment
Choose Add to Google Classroom/Canvas, and the assignment will be added to the selected class and available to your students
Pro Tip: If your LMS classes are not displaying correctly, try a disconnect/reconnect of the integration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are my students receiving a Blocked Domain error when joining my Space?
Why are my students receiving a Blocked Domain error when joining my Space?
If your students are receiving a Blocked Domain error, your school likely has the student domain blocked from accessing certain parts of SchoolAI. Using a Space Code should not give this error, so speak with your school Admin or IT Department to ensure access is allowed. Ensure that the link you are sharing is a Space Code and not the link used to share Spaces with other teachers
Why don't I see the Invite, Pause, and End controls for the Space?
Why don't I see the Invite, Pause, and End controls for the Space?
If the Invite, Pause, and End controls are missing in the teacher dashboard, check to ensure the Space hasn't already been ended, as students can only be invited to an active Space.
