What is user provisioning?

User provisioning allows you to create, edit and delete your staff in Scorebuddy via an external platform, making staff management easier and more efficient.

Scorebuddy supports user provisioning via the OneLogin platform.

How do I set this up?

You can set up OneLogin for use with Single Sign On and Provisioning by going to Admin > Security > Single Sign On.

How does it work?

Once OneLogin and Scorebuddy have been integrated, the work flow for managing staff in Scorebuddy will look like the below:

Creating users in Scorebuddy

1. A user is added to OneLogin and the Scorebuddy application is assigned to them.

2. In Scorebuddy, the user will appear in the Provisioning tab (found on the Admin page). From here the user can be assigned their Scorebuddy profiles and Groups and Teams. Multi-select can also be used her to assign profiles and Groups/Teams in bulk.

3. The user/s will be moved to the appropriate Staff or Admin > Users page with their new profile and Groups/Teams assigned. The user can now login to Scorebuddy using their OneLogin credentials.

Deleting users in Scorebuddy

1. A user is deleted (or has the Scorebuddy application removed from their profile) in OneLogin.

2. The user will also be removed from Scorebuddy. The deletion outcome will be in line with Scorebuddy's existing user deletion behaviour (i.e. an Admin type user will be hard deleted and a Staff type user will be soft deleted)

3. The user will no longer be able to access Scorebuddy and will not be counted towards your per-user billing.

Managing users in Scorebuddy

1. A user has their name or email address changed in OneLogin.

2. The corresponding fields will be automatically updated in Scorebuddy.

Note: Scorebuddy users who were created via user provisioning will not be available to have certain fields edited directly in Scorebuddy. The fields for First Name, Last Name, Email Address and Access will not be available for edit for these users via the Staff page, Staff Uploader or API connection. OneLogin will control the values which populate these fields. You are still able to edit other fields (such as Group, Team or Read Only) for these users directly in Scorebuddy.
