If you’re looking for a gas engineer to install or service your gas boiler or appliances, always ask for a Gas Safe Register™ Engineer.
This is the new standard that replaced CORGI gas registration in 2009, and gas engineers must now be on the Gas Safe Register by law. So before allowing a gas engineer to work in your home, always ask to see their Gas Safe Register ID card.

Why regular servicing is important
Gas appliances and flues which haven’t been properly installed or maintained can cause carbon monoxide poisoning. This can lead to very serious health effects, and can be lethal. We strongly advise our customers to have their gas appliances and boiler checked for safety at least every 12 months by a Gas Safe Register™ Engineer.

Boiler Maintenance and Support

Landlord Gas Safety Check
Are you a tenant? Your landlord has a legal duty to carry out an annual gas safety check and maintain gas appliances. They must also provide you with a copy of the completed gas safety check certificate.
Solid Fuels
Do you heat your home with other carbon based fuels such as coal, wood or oil? Just as with gas, we recommend you get your boiler or appliances checked regularly by a competent person. If you have a chimney or a flue, make sure it’s not blocked up and vents are not covered. Have your chimney swept from top to bottom at least once a year by a qualified sweep.
