Countdown Element for Enhanced Engagement
The Countdown element is designed to increase engagement by adding a time-sensitive component to your campaigns. It's highly customizable, making it ideal for promotions, limited-time offers, or events.
Key Features
Customizable Timers: Set your own start and end times to align with your campaign.
Design Options: Personalize the timer’s look to match your campaign’s branding and style.
Automatic Actions: Trigger specific actions automatically when the countdown reaches zero.
How to Use the Countdown Element
Add the Countdown Element
Open your campaign in the drag-and-drop builder and select the "Countdown" element. Then, drag it into the desired location within your layout.
Set Timer Details
Click on the Countdown element to open the settings panel. Configure the following:
Start and End Time: Set the exact start and end times for the countdown.
Time Zone: Make sure the countdown is aligned with the correct time zone for your audience.
Customize Appearance
Adjust the design to match your campaign’s branding:
Font and Colors: Select fonts and colors that align with your campaign’s theme.
Layout: Modify the size and placement for a clean, cohesive look.
Set End-Action Behavior
Define what happens when the countdown reaches zero:
Display a Message: Show a custom message to users.
Redirect to Another Page: Automatically send users to a different URL.
Trigger an Event: Activate specific actions, such as hiding or displaying other elements.
Here you will be able to change the settings for the countdown.
Best Practices
Create Urgency: Use the countdown to emphasize limited-time offers or promotions.
Keep It Visible: Position the countdown prominently in your layout to attract attention.
Test Settings: Ensure the timer functions correctly and matches your campaign’s timing objectives.
The first option on the list is to set the clock to either 24 or 12 hours depending on where in the world you live, so the countdown will match your country.
Next, you have the option to use an end date for the timer or set a manual countdown with your own specific time set.
Below this, you can change the name of the days, hours, minutes and seconds. Here you are also able to toggle these options on and off if you for example do not need it to count down seconds.
Last but not least you have two options to hide the countdown as shown in the picture below.
The first options let you hide the unit that runs out of time. Here is an example
0 days 17 hours 13 minutes 30 seconds
In this case, 0 days will not be shown and only 17 hours 13 minutes 30 seconds will be shown.
The second option will simply hide the countdown when everything runs to zero.
Troubleshooting Tips
Incorrect Timing: Double-check the start and end times, including the time zone setting.
Timer Not Displaying: Ensure the element is correctly placed and not hidden by other elements.
Design Issues: Preview the campaign to confirm that the timer’s appearance aligns with your layout.
