Countdown element for engagement

The Countdown element is designed to boost engagement by adding a time-sensitive component to your campaigns. It's highly customizable and ideal for promotions, limited-time offers, or event-based activities.

Key Features

  • Customizable Timers: Set your own start and end times to match your campaign goals.

  • Design Options: Style the countdown to align with your branding.

  • Automatic Actions: Trigger specific behaviors when the countdown reaches zero.

How to Use the Countdown Element

1. Add the Countdown Element
Open your campaign in the drag-and-drop builder. Select the Countdown element and drag it into the desired location.

2. Set Timer Details
Click on the countdown element to open the settings panel. Configure the following:

  • Start and End Time: Set the exact start and end times.

  • Time Zone: Ensure the countdown aligns with the appropriate time zone for your audience.

3. Customize Appearance
Adjust the design to reflect your campaign’s style:

  • Font and Colors: Match your brand’s typography and color palette.

  • Layout: Adjust size and placement for a clean, cohesive look.

4. Set End-Action Behavior
Define what happens when the timer reaches zero:

  • Display a Message: Show a custom message to users.

  • Redirect to Another Page: Automatically send users to a specific URL.

  • Trigger an Event: Activate elements or functions, such as hiding or revealing content.

Best Practices

  • Create Urgency: Use the countdown to emphasize limited-time offers or promotions.

  • Keep It Visible: Position the countdown prominently in your layout to attract attention.

  • Test Settings: Ensure the timer functions correctly and matches your campaign’s timing objectives.

Additional Settings

Clock Format: Choose between 12-hour or 24-hour display to match your region.

Countdown Type:

  • Use a fixed end date/time, or

  • Set a manual countdown with a custom duration.

  • Label Customization:
Rename the labels for days, hours, minutes, and seconds.
Toggle individual units on/off (e.g., hide "seconds" if not needed).

Countdown Visibility Options

Hide Expired Units:
Automatically hide units that have reached zero.
Example:

  • Instead of showing 0 days 17 hours 13 minutes 30 seconds

  • It will show 17 hours 13 minutes 30 seconds

Hide Entire Countdown at Zero:
Automatically remove the countdown from view when the timer completes.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Incorrect Timing: Double-check start/end times and time zone settings.

  • Countdown Not Displaying: Confirm the element is placed correctly and not hidden.

  • Styling Issues: Use preview mode to verify visual alignment with your layout.
