Whether you're standing in front of a digital sign or working on the move, you can quickly locate and manage your posts using your smartphone. There are two ways to find your content, so you can make sure your screens always show the right information.
Locate Content via Manual Search
If you aren't near a screen but know exactly what you're looking for, the Search tool is the fastest way to navigate your library. When logged into your account on a computer, you can use the search bar to scan your entire library of Posts, Feeds, and Apps.
To find your content efficiently, keep in mind how the system indexes different sources:
Search by name
Enter the specific title of a Post, Feed, or App to pull it up immediately.
Search by content in Posts and Feeds
You can search for specific words or phrases written within the body of your Posts or Feed posts. This is ideal for finding specific announcements or updates based on keywords.
App searchability
Unlike Posts, the system cannot read the text or data displayed inside an app, for example the text on a specific Google Slide. Search results for Apps are based solely on the App Name.
Give your Apps descriptive names during setup, for example "Q4 Marketing Slides" instead of just "Google Slides", so they are easy to find through the Search tool.
Identify Posts via Image Search
When you see a post on a physical screen that needs an update, or you want to identify which Collection the content is from, you can use your phone's camera to identify it.
Log in to your account on your phone.
Select Search a post via image.
Take a photo of the screen, making sure the text content is clear and legible.
Crop the photo to focus specifically on the screen area.
The post is identified, along with the Collection it is from.
Only text contained within Posts or Feed posts is identified with image search.
Edit or Hide Content
Once you have identified the post using either search method, you can take action to fix incorrect or outdated information:
Edit
Modify the text or media directly from your mobile interface.
Hide
If a post is no longer relevant, toggle Hide to remove it from the live display rotation immediately.
Delete
Log in on your computer to completely remove a post from showing on your Screen and Collection.
Mobile Limitations
To prevent accidental data loss, certain administrative actions are restricted when using a mobile device.
Content creation
On mobile, you are limited to creating new Posts within a Collection. You cannot create other content types, such as new Collections, Apps, or Feeds, from your smartphone.
Search limitations
The mobile search tool is built specifically for finding and managing Posts, including Feed posts, within your Collections.
