The Screens page is your central hub for managing every display connected to your ScreenCloud Arc account. From here you can pair new devices, check whether each screen is online, see at a glance which content and settings each one is using, and open an individual screen to manage it remotely.
All of your screens appear in a single list regardless of where they are located or which platform they run on, so you do not need to switch between views to see your whole estate.
How to Connect a New Screen
Pairing links a physical device to your ScreenCloud Arc account.
Before you begin, the device needs to be powered on, connected to the internet, and running the ScreenCloud Player. If you have not set the player up yet, see Pairing a Screen for full instructions on installing it and getting your pairing code. To check which devices can run the ScreenCloud Player, see Hardware and Player.
Once your device is displaying a pairing code:
Click the + Pair new screen button in the top right corner of the Screens page.
Enter the pairing code shown on your display.
Select one or more collections to assign the content that will play.
The screen appears in your list straight away and begins playing the content you assigned.
Note: If you have reached your plan limit, a prompt will appear allowing you to upgrade your plan to add more screens.
How to View Screen Details At a Glance
Each row in the list summarises how that screen is configured, so you can spot problems without opening individual screens.
Name — The name given to the screen when it was paired. Naming screens by location, such as Reception or Second Floor Canteen, makes them far easier to find as your estate grows.
Collections — The collection the screen belongs to, which determines the content it plays.
Layout — The active arrangement of content zones on the screen.
Platform — The type of device the screen is running on, shown as an icon.
Theme — The visual design applied to the display, including brand colors and display mode.
Status — Whether the screen is currently online or offline. An offline screen has stopped communicating with ScreenCloud, usually because of a network interruption or because the device has lost power.
How to Filter Your Screens
Filtering is the fastest way to narrow a long list, whether you are checking every screen using a particular layout or reviewing all screens in one collection.
Navigate to the filter options at the top right of the Screens page.
Click any filter drop down menu to narrow your view.
Select the checkbox next to the item you want to view. To reset your list, click Clear Filters.
Available filter options:
Collections — Show only screens belonging to a particular collection.
Platforms — Show only screens running on a particular type of device.
Layouts — Show only screens using a particular layout.
Themes — Show only screens using a particular theme.
You can apply more than one filter at a time to narrow your list further.
How to Manage an Individual Screen
Click any screen in the list to open it. The right hand side panel contains that screen's settings, and scrolling down to Remote Device Management gives you remote control of the device itself, including refreshing content, restarting the player, rebooting the hardware, clearing the cache, taking a screenshot, and viewing network and device information.
To learn more, see Screen and Remote Device Management (RDM) in ScreenCloud Arc.
Where Else Can You Access Screens?
The Screens page gives you the full list of every display in your account, but screens also appear elsewhere in ScreenCloud Arc wherever it is useful to see which displays something has been applied to.
From a Collection
Each collection has its own Screens option, listing every screen currently showing that collection. From here you can select Connect a screen to apply the collection to another display. This is quicker than opening each screen individually when you are rolling the same content out to several places.
From Themes and Layouts
The Themes and Layouts pages both include a Screens column showing which screens are currently using each theme or layout. You can also narrow the list using the Screens drop down in the top right of the page.
This is the fastest way to find themes and layouts that are not in use. Any row showing No screens assigned is not currently applied to a display, and selecting No screen in the Screens drop down filters the list down to only those unassigned items. This is useful for spotting duplicates or tidying up themes and layouts you no longer need.
How to Delete a Screen
If a display is no longer in use, you can remove it from your account directly from the Screens page.
Locate the screen you want to remove in your list.
Click the three dots (...) menu on the far right of that screen's row.
Select the option to remove or delete the screen from your account.
Note: Removing a screen unpairs the device from your account and it will stop playing content. If you want to use the same device again later, you will need to pair it as a new screen.
