Do I have to go through this every time I want to sign in?

No. As we’ve secured the sign in process, we’ve moved to extended session times. After you sign in with a particular browser, you’ll stay signed in for up to two weeks.

You will have to sign in with each browser or device you use, but overall it should be much faster and less of a hassle than typing in a username and password every time you sign in.

What if I don’t receive my email?

Check your spam folder. If the email is there, add notifications@screenlight.tv to your whitelist.

Our high volume mail deliverability provider provides us with reports on deliverability failures so that we can troubleshoot them. We use standards such as SPF, DKIM, DMARC to verify mail that we send and improve our ability to make sure messages are delivered.

If you have problems, with mail not coming through, please let us know.

What if I use Screenlight on a shared computer?

Please make sure you sign out when you are done. You should treat it the same way you would your email account (you don’t leave hotmail open at an Internet cafe do you) or your banking information.

What happens if someone gains access to my email?

If someone gains access to your email, they will be able to go to Screenlight, request a sign in link, and use it to gain access to your account.

This is no more of a problem than it is with a system that uses a username and password. If someone gains access to your email they simply have to look through your email (search for something like sign-in or bank), go to the appropriate site, click password reset and they’ll have access to hat service.

Bottom line, you should really secure your inbox above all else.
