What are unlimited review links?

You can create and send out as many review links as you want to clients, colleagues or anyone else that needs to provide feedback on your work.

Simply create a link, set what people can do, and share it. The best part is that people with review links can go directly to the media they need without getting bogged down remembering usernames and passwords.

People with review links can view media, provide feedback, or download files depending on permissions you have set. Review links can be password protected for enhanced security.

What is a user? How many users do I need?

Users are people that you've added to your Screenlight account. They will need to sign into the application with an email address and password. Once they have signed in, they will see a handy dashboard with all of the projects they have permission to access.

There are three different roles for users: Administrators; Project Managers; and Collaborators. A combination of roles and permissions determines what these people can see and do on a project.

As a rule of thumb, here's who you should consider adding as a user:

  • Co-workers or contractors that need to upload media, manage projects, or administer the account.

  • People on projects where you need to lock down access with individual usernames and passwords.

  • Regular collaborators that want to see everything together in one place.

You can add / remove users from your plan at anytime. We charge $9 per user per month.

How will adding a new user to our account be billed?

All billing is pro-rated in the fairest way possible. When you add a new user to the account we'll give you a credit for the unused days with your previous plan. Then we'll reset the billing date to today and charge you for a full month of service with the new number of users, less any credits you have.

As an example, let's say that you are on a plan with a single user ($9 / month) and that you are 10 days into a 30-day billing cycle. If you upgrade to a plan with three users ($27 / month), we will give you a credit of $6 ($9 / 30 days * 20 days), reset your billing date to today, and apply the credit towards your bill. The net charge on your credit card would be $21 ($27 - $6). You would continue to be billed $27 / month until you change the number of users or cancel your service.

How do I upgrade to the new per-user pricing?

If you signed up for a Screenlight account (free or paid) prior to the introduction of per-user pricing, you can stay on your existing plan as long as you want. That said, we think the new plans are a much better deal for most people.

If you want to move to one of the new plans, click the dropdown at the top right and click Account.

Click the plan tab to see an overview of your current plan and your upgrade / downgrade options. The page displays an estimate of your monthly price based on the current number of users in your account.

If you've been using Screenlight for some time, you may have more users than you need. You can reduce your monthly bill by removing unneeded users prior to upgrading.

Once you are happy with the number of users, click the Continue to payment or Upgrade now button and confirm your choice.

What happens if I downgrade to free?

If you want to park your account and downgrade to the free plan, there are a couple of things to remember.

If you are using more than 1 GB of space, you'll need to delete files that you no longer need before you can downgrade. You'll also need delete all of the users besides yourself and delete all but one of your projects.

If the assets you intend to keep are split across different projects you'll need to move them all to the same project prior to downgrading.

How does your free trial work?

Everyone who signs up for Screenlight is added to our Forever Free plan. You can use this plan to evaluate Screenlight.

When you want more space or if you need to add more projects or more users you can upgrade to our Unlimited Storage plan.

What is custom branding?

You can put your brand first by adding your logo to the top bar of the application. You can also change the background and font color. We’ll also apply this branding to the email messages that are sent out through ScreenLight.

Do I have to sign a contract?

There's no contract on the month-to-month plans and you can cancel at any time. With the move to per-user pricing we will no longer offer annual billing except with enterprise accounts.

Can I change the number of users?

You can add and remove users at any time and we'll prorate billing accordingly.
