Compatible devices
A device works with ScribbleVet when it meets all of the following:
It can download apps from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or it can run a current version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge.
It has a stable internet connection.
It runs a recent version of iOS or Android and still receives operating system updates from the manufacturer.
It is no more than 5 years old, or it is on the minimum supported list below.
ScribbleVet works with devices from Apple (iPhone and iPad), Samsung (Galaxy S series and Galaxy Tab series), Google (Pixel phones and Pixel Tablets), Lenovo (Tab series), and Microsoft (Surface Go and Surface Pro).
Supported phones and tablets
These are the oldest devices ScribbleVet supports. Older devices can experience performance issues or crashes.
iPhone:
iPhone 13 Mini, iPhone 13 Pro, or iPhone 13 Pro Max, or newer
iPad:
iPad 9th generation or newer

Using ScribbleVet on a computer
ScribbleVet runs in the latest version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. To keep ScribbleVet from going inactive during long sessions in Chrome:
Open Chrome and go to Settings → Performance.
Under General, find Always keep these sites active.
Click Add and enter web.scribblevet.com.
Choosing a tablet for ScribbleVet
If you are buying a tablet for your practice, these models offer the best balance of performance and price.

Devices that do not work well with ScribbleVet
Amazon Fire tablets typically do not support the ScribbleVet app because they cannot access Google Play or the Apple App Store. You can try ScribbleVet in the built-in web browser, but setup is often difficult and not reliable for daily use. Use a supported tablet from the list above instead.
Avoid using ScribbleVet on any device that no longer receives operating system updates from its manufacturer.

Keep the ScribbleVet app updated to the latest version.
Use a stable Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection when possible.
Use a device that has access to the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, a stable internet connection, and a recent version of Android or iOS.

Can I use ScribbleVet on an older phone or tablet?
