Getting Started on Scribo

Welcome to Scribo!

We’re so excited to have you. Scribo’s a great way to level up your writing skills and get feedback on your work.

Let’s take a quick look at how to get started with Scribo!

First, let’s login to Scribo. When logging in you have a couple of options

  • You can type out the email address or username used in your Scribo account, your password, then click Log In

  • You may also login using Google or Microsoft if your Scribo account uses your school Google or Microsoft email address.

    • Simply click on either of these buttons, then enter your account credentials.

Once logged in, you will see the Scribo homepage. Up top you will see tabs for all the classes you’ve joined. You can click on any of these tabs to quickly switch between classes.

On the right, you will see a sidebar that contains different settings and features on Scribo. To learn more about all these different features, check out our other videos and guides.

The main area of the homepage shows you the different writing activities your teachers have assigned to you. By default your activities are presented in tiles. If you like, you can switch between different views in the upper right corner of this section.

Right above that is a search bar you can use to quickly find an activity and a button that allows you to sort your activities based on their names and due dates.

The left side of the homepage allows you to filter your activities based on their status.

  • In Progress shows all the activities you’ve started but have not yet submitted or handed in.

  • Not Started shows all the activities you have not begun writing yet.

  • Complete shows all the activities you’ve already handed in to your teacher.

Lastly, to start working on an activity, simply click open on the activity then you can start writing right away!
