Reviewing your past work is very helpful in correcting mistakes and improving.
In this video and guide, let’s learn how to check History & Versions.
On the Scribo Writing homepage go to a writing activity and click Open. You should then see the work you’ve written on this activity.
In the top portion of the menu, you can click on History. This feature will show you the different changes that have been made in your essay either by you or your teacher..
Remember that your teacher can also edit your work. Your teacher may use this function as a way to teach you new writing techniques or give you specific examples. No need to worry though, all changes made by you and your teacher are clearly labelled in history.
You can click on any of these changes to check what your essay looked like when these changes were made and open comments your teacher left on your work.
You can also click on Show Score History to see how your score changed with every major revision of your essay. You can look at the graph to see if the quality of your writing improved or declined. All scores you were given throughout the writing process can also be seen below.
If you would like a better view of all the different versions of your entire essay, you can click on Menu, then select Versions.
Here you will see all the different versions of your essay throughout your writing process. By default, Scribo shows you all the versions of your work that had major revisions or changes. If you would like to check versions for every minor revision, simply click Show Minor Revisions.
You can click on Versions List if you would like to quickly check a specific version of your work or you can select a date to check what your essay looked like on that day. You can also check the different versions of the feedback your teacher left on your work, as well as the different versions of your work that you handed in to your teacher.
There you go! History & Versions make it easy to check and learn from your past work.
