Using Vision on your mobile device makes it easy to snap a photo and get feedback on handwritten work.
In this video, let’s learn how to Check Handwritten Work on Vision for mobile.
On your mobile device, open the Vision mobile app or use a web browser and go to scribolearning.com/vision.You will then see the Vision login page.
From here, you may log in using your username and password or via single sign-on if your Scribo account is linked to a google email address.
Once logged in, you will see all your different classes. Select the class with an assigned writing activity, then select the writing activity where you would like to upload the handwritten work.
Remember that Vision is linked to your classes and activities in Scribo Writing. If you would like to learn more about how to manage your classes and activities, check out our other guides in the Scribo Learning Help Center.
In your chosen activity, look for the student whose handwritten work you will check. Then, click Take Photo, confirm that you would like to capture the handwritten response, then Vision will open the camera app on your device.
You can now take a photo of the handwritten work. To ensure that Vision’s handwriting detection accurately imports the captured work:
Take the photo in a well lit environment.
Make sure to capture the entire page with none of the edges cut off.
Only include the handwritten work in the photo. Remove any unnecessary pages or objects.
Only take a photo one page at a time. If the handwritten work is more than one page long, you can take photos of the succeeding pages later on.
As much as possible, ensure that the page is neat and tidy. Avoid unnecessary marks on the paper.
After taking the photo, you can add more photos of succeeding pages if necessary. Otherwise, you can simply click Finish. Vision will now take a few moments to analyze and import the handwritten work.
Once it’s done, you can either continue uploading work for the next student or click Exit. Your student’s handwriting has now been imported.
From here, you can click on your student’s name, and you will see the AI generated feedback. Students are given a general assessment as well as suggestions for improvement.
You can also scroll down to Scribo Feedback to get more detailed feedback about specific writing errors. Simply click See my detailed feedback. This now shows you the student’s errors in the five dimensions of writing. To go through each error, simply click Next on the bottom right, or finish once you’re done.
Lastly, on the Feedback page, you can click Download my Feedback to download a detailed pdf report of this student’s performance in the activity. You can share this with parents to keep them updated on a student’s progress or you can keep this pdf as an offline copy of the report.
