If your post does not match your voice memo input, it may be due to two possible reasons:

  1. Recording Language: The Recording Language did not match the language of the voice or text input. For example, if the recording language is set to German, but you have given your input in English, Scripe cannot assign the content. The result is a post that does not correspond at all to what you have said or written. You can check this by looking at your transcript in an editor view. If the transcript is empty, it has not processed your input. To generate your post, you have to enter the input again, either via voice or text input and make sure the languages align with each other.

  2. Microphone Allowance: One reason for this may be that you have not activated microphone permission in your browser. If you use Chrome or Safari, you will be asked whether you can allow Scripe.io to use your microphone the first time you use the voice memo feature. The microphone usage must be enabled for you to be able to use the Scripe voice memo function. For various reasons, you may have to give the microphone allowance again after a while (e.g. if you delete your cookies). You can check the microphone permission as follows:

    1. In your browser settings.

    2. during recording in Scripe, where the recording bars must indicate that you are currently recording.
